What's the vision? ( I can dream, can't i?! Obviously, I can. Lol.)
And this in the face of inevitable tidal wave of material poverty, poverty, existent in this region, and increasing at a geometric rate in the face of AI, a downward spiraling global and U.S. economy, and our own local disasters, fossil fuel industry gone. Water for agriculture, gone. Money for tourism, gone.
And the post midterm term election axing of Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security being left to go insolvent within the next six years.
In the face of all of that, wealth such as this region has has never seen, is entirely available to us.
You mean wealth isn't just money, isn't just financial? We don't stop to think about it. If we did, that's laughable.
If someone by legal means has any level of material income money material wealth where did it come from? They exchanged more important types of wealth to get that material material, wealth and income: their character, their trustworthiness, their skills gained through academics or trade schools or self-education, their work ethic, their financial literacy, their spiritual strength.
Please, if you're watching this, if you think that what I'm saying is pie in the sky, please don't waste any more of your time. It's patently obvious, except we've been taught not to think about it. think about it and this
And this has to do with the reason that every penny I've got, every penny I can earn, goes into Master Jesus Base Camp.
Why? Because it is somehow intended to be a catalyst for us to begin to build that wealth that is not financial, the much more important wealth, to a higher level within ourselves, and to inspire some of our neighbors to do so, and to come alongside our neighbors that are trying.
several months ago, by a rare fellow traveler, i was asked with some divine frustration... what's the vision james?!?
and i did not provide an answer because in a way there is no answer until there are co-laborers. i'm thinking of the verse, Jesus is speaking to disciples, I presume, pray thee therefore of the Lord of the harvest that he should send laborers into the harvest.
There's no vision unless and until that happens.
But I can speak the direction that the vision would take shape. Not my vision. There's no vision worth anything that is an individual's vision, collective vision.
And the general shape is building those various forms of wealth.
And probably almost anyone watching this video, through no credit to themselves, has been helped to build substantial portions of that wealth. But as the fish is the last to discover water, we don't think about it. It just happened.
Well, It happened by being in a community that by its very habits was substantially about helping the rare dear loved one achieve those non-financial forms of wealth, which are intrinsically joyful by the way. Money is not intrinsically joyful. it lures us away from that which is, that is, building and exercising and sharing those other forms of wealth.
Master Jesus Base Camp, its fruition is to be a catalyst, a center of expertise, a center of example, a center of practice, a center center of experimentation. And as I say, I could not provide a vision because the elements don't exist. One person can't do that. One person can try. But that's the direction.
And one person is trying, James, you get to laugh, and will not stop. There are quite a few hurdles in front of him, including a horrible financial debt situation. His first emphasis has been on mastering the master of life, Gospel Jesus in his view, James speaking here. I expect the winter will be spent mastering much
Doh! Did I mention that Master season space camp is financially throttled? Lol. I had to cancel this subscription and the free thing will only do 8 minutes. You'll have to listen to the last 3 minutes of the video to get the rest.
